Roaring Twenties Fast
2025
“Calling 1 million young people to
Fast and Pray in the Roaring Twenties.”
Today, Christian leaders, pastors, ministries, and young influencers throughout the United States are supporting a call for one million people, especially young people, to fast and pray at the beginning of 2025.
This annual fast began in 2020 and will continue throughout the “Roaring Twenties.”
In February 2023, a significant movement of the Spirit of God began on the campus of Asbury University. In the fall of 2023, a move of God occurred at Auburn University as well. Both movements spread to campuses across the nation in an unprecedented way. Thousands of students are accepting Christ and following Him in baptism - many being spontaneously baptized in the back of pickup trucks and campus fountains. A grassroots movement emerged called UniteUS, led by Tonya and Chad Prewett, which has become a source of inspiration for the theme of the 2025 Fast.
The aim of this fast is not the promotion of any one individual or ministry but rather a call to unity around rallying the next generation around the presence of Jesus. The desire is to fast and pray around the awakenings occurring on campuses and for the church to be awakened to what God is doing in this hour.
“I believe America is on the verge of the Great American Spiritual Comeback.”

How should I fast?
Important: Young people, be sure to talk with your parents, and your family’s doctor about how to safely fast.
Please join us in fasting however God leads you during this time.
The typical Biblical fast is going without food for a period of time, but there are other types of fasts you may choose from:
A typical Biblical fast is going without food for a single meal, one day or a longer period of time.
A “Daniel Fast” is eating only fruits, vegetables, and whole grains for a period of time.
A “Juice Fast” is only doing juices or liquids for a period of time.
An entertainment fast is going without entertainment for a period of time.
A social media fast is going without social media for a period of time.
You may choose to do a typical Biblical Fast going without food for 1 day, and then another type of fast for the remainder of the time.
You could also Fast by skipping one meal per day for a period of days, and spend that extra time seeking God in prayer.
The primary objective is to deny ourselves, and make space and time in our lives to seek God in prayer and the reading of His Word for a greater move of God in our lives, and our world. Physical hunger often ignites a great spiritual hunger in our lives.
